Highlights from SIA Executive Forum Europe 2019
We were delighted to exhibit and present a talk at the SIA Executive Forum Europe 2019 in London on 19-20 November. Hosted by Staffing Industry Analysts, the event for staffing executives provides access to top industry thinkers, leaders and innovators; new techniques and practices; and advice on market segments for business growth. The theme of this year’s forum was Breakthrough Leadership. This year’s two-day event provided insights and strategies to take the industry leadership to the next level. Several key trending topics were discussed in a range of talks at the forum most notably the prospect of global expansion.
While Capital GES has attended the SIA Executive Forum for many years now, this year was the first time that the Capital GES and People2.0 teams exhibited together as People2.0 since announcing the acquisition in July 2019.
As well as exhibiting as platinum sponsor, People 2.0 was also a featured speaker at this year’s event. Capital GES’s Nick Broughton (Chief Revenue Officer) and People2.0‘s Jeff Nugent (EVP and Contingent Workforce Expert) presented at an Idea’s in Action session entitled ‘Growing Beyond Borders: How to Quickly and Safely Scale Your Business Internationally’
The purpose of the talk was to provide organisations in the workforce management ecosystem best practices when it comes to taking their businesses global – strategic objectives, considerations, structural options and of course the risks. We discussed our own experiences, having opened and operated companies in over 35 countries globally, as well as those of the myriad clients we have serviced during the past 29 years.
